Bonita Hunter was originally born and raised in Lorain, Ohio. Amid to growing up in a broken home and poverty, she graduated from high school with honors and joined the United States Army to pay for college. She is the 6 th child of seven siblings and the first in her family to graduate college with honors receiving her Master Degree. Ms. Hunter continued her military career after taking pleasure with mentoring and training young Soldiers and Officers. She served 30 years and 9 months in the United States Army. She retired as Sergeant Major, thus receiving numerous awards and medals for her exemplary service. She jumped out of many
“perfectly good” airplanes for 13 consecutive years, ending her airborne status with 64 parachute jumps
In 1990, Sergeant Major Hunter deployed to Operation Desert Storm in effort to liberate the Country of Kuwait from the evasion of Saadam Hussein; which was a success. Ms. Hunter is currently an Instructor at Fort Lee, Virginia and teaches logistics automation and satellite communications. She is an active member of Ladies of Distinction, Incorporated Hampton Roads.
